Breath of Fresh Air

A Breath oh Fresh Air

My husband calls me a constant source of his entertainment, which is ironic because I have a constant need to be entertained. Relaxing in the traditional sense is not my strong suit. I am crazy about my family and admittedly addicted to exercise (easily the best of any addictions I can or did have so accepting it). I can’t quite put my finger on it, but sometime in the last year or so, maybe even 6 months, I have really grown into who I am and have embraced that and my potential to be more. Every day I feel growth, which sounds like bullshit but once you get to know me better you will realize I don’t BS and I am a terrible liar (which makes neither an option for me… I can’t even pull a good prank and got caught doing EVERYTHING in high school)! This internal growth spurt has energized me to pursue purpose and fulfillment; take more risks and celebrate more rewards; and to stop talking and start doing.

Each day I consciously make an effort to be a better person in some way than I was the day before; to practice doing unto others, and to say yes more and “I don’t have time” less. I do my best to be positive, thoughtful, and kind. I talk to everyone; I am the girl who sits next to you on the Metra and says hello and offers you gum. I like making the world a smaller place by connecting with others. I am direct and a Gemini, both of which make me a beauty and a beast. I wasn’t always nor will I even be an angel, and I have made many, many, many mistakes (some of which you will probably hear about in this blog). But today, and starting over every day thereafter, I can own trying to be the best version of myself I can offer (scars and lessons learned and all).

I have woken up and taken a huge breath of fresh air that I want to share. That said, welcome to my blog!
